MTA Car Catches Fire, Explodes Near NYC's Charging Bull
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
NEW YORK CITY — An MTA car caught fire and explored in Lower Manhattan near the Charging Bull Tuesday evening.
Police and firefighters responded to the scene around 5:40 p.m. near the corner of Broadway and Stone Street, the FDNY said.
Video from social media show the car engulfed in flames before exploding, sending black smoke into the air.

The fire was put under control shortly before 7 p.m.
An Instagram post showed the aftermath of the blaze detailing the charred remains of the car.
