Shooting Snarls NYC Subway Service Systemwide

NEW YORK CITY — A bloody scene in a Sunset Park subway station caused a wave of suspensions and delays across the city's transit lines Tuesday.

The investigation into the 36th Street attack caused "major disruption to service," the MTA announced.

The MTA suspended D, N and R service throughout Brooklyn and parts of Manhattan, according to the authority's website.

The B and W lines are also suspended throughout the city, with the F line experiencing delays, according to the MTA as of 10:40 a.m.

The C and E lines are under unrelated delays.

The NYPD urged New Yorkers to avoid the area by the station during the investigation.

"Expect emergency vehicles and delays in the surrounding area," the NYPD tweeted.

Reached for comment, the MTA could not answer further questions about the situation.
