Nearly 70 People Arrested After Anti-ICE Protest Inside NYC Hotel
Protesters took over the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn in Tribeca.
NEW YORK CITY — Nearly 70 people took over the lobby of a Lower Manhattan hotel Tuesday night to protest ICE operations throughout the country and to stand in solidarity with Minneapolis.
The protesters crowded into the Hilton Garden Inn in Tribeca around 6 p.m. The hotel chain has been accused of allegedly allowing ICE agents to stay at their properties.
In social media footage, protesters could be seen holding up signs and wearing T-shirts with "Abolish ICE" and "Hilton: Stop Housing ICE."

Some protesters began blowing whistles — a move used to warn immigrants of ICE agents around the country.
In addition, protesters could be seen holding up photographs of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, two U.S. citizens shot and killed by ICE agents this month in Minnesota.

In total, 65 people were arrested at the protest by the NYPD’s Strategic Response Group. Charges against the protesters have not been disclosed yet.
