Nepal Day Parade: Showcasing Nepali Culture in New York City

Annual Celebration Highlights Nepal's Identity and Gathers Support from Diverse Community in New York City.

The organizers of the Nepal Day Parade have announced the successful completion of preparations for the upcoming event, scheduled to take place in New York on Sunday (May 21). Tak Bahadur Ruwali, the convener of the organizing committee, confirmed that all arrangements for the parade have been finalized. Ruwali expressed, "Join us in Manhattan, New York, on Sunday, as we proudly display Nepal's identity to the global community."


Ruwali also mentioned that the sub-committees formed for the event are in the final stages of preparation. The Nepal Day Parade is an annual celebration held in New York, dedicated to highlighting and honoring Nepali language and culture.


During the parade, attendees will be treated to captivating performances by Nepali singers, showcasing a diverse range of songs, dances, and music. The event will be held in Manhattan, New York.

Angchiring Sherpa, the president of the NRNA New York chapter and a member of the organizing committee, expressed deep appreciation for the support provided by officials from various organizations and esteemed social figures, whose significant contributions have ensured the program's success. Sherpa eagerly anticipates a substantial turnout from everyone on that day.


Ramhari Adhikari, the former president of the New York chapter, exclaimed, "It is a moment of immense pride to organize such a remarkable event in New York." He also took the opportunity to mention that a street in Jackson Heights, New York, has been named Mount Everest Way.

Rameshwar Burlakoti, the coordinator of the Economic Committee of Nepal Day Parade, reported that financial support is being generously provided by numerous associations and dedicated social activists in New York, contributing to the funding of the event.
