New Memoir 'Worthy' is Must-Read
Author Kimberly Plante wrote a memoir about her childhood abuse at the hands of her mother. This is a must-read book.

A new memoir called 'Worthy' was sent to me courtesy of a publisher and long-time friend. She told me it was a riveting true-life story that would make me cry, but also have me rooting for the author's survival and eventual success.
This book is shocking, because it's written by a now-adult woman who suffered a seemingly endless nightmare at the hands of her own mother, who abused her when she was a child.
Author Kimberly Plante describes her childhood in a matter-of-fact-way, although the frightening conditions of her life from three-years old onwards was anything but normal.

The book really shows how childhood abuse can be happening to a child in a family you may know, or to a childhood friend of your own children.
This is a book that will open your eyes to the stark reality of childhood abuse, but at the same time, lead you to a place of hope, since the author is now a successful, thriving professional who also has a very happy family of her own.
