New York Scope Benefit Dinner to Award Club Getaway on April 2nd
They'll be awarded philanthropic camp of the year for their efforts in sending children to camp who otherwise wouldn't be able to do so.

It is Club Getaway's strong belief, that if everyone spent even one day at camp, this world would be a better place and their core mission is to provide an exceptional camp experience to everyone. It's this philosophy that paired them with the incredible organization, SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Provide Education). SCOPE raises money to send children to overnight camp, who could not otherwise afford to go. They then track the campers experiences, provide tutoring services and help these children grow into their best selves. This past summer, during Camp Getaway adult weekends, owner David Schreiber and his team ran a raffle, which included Club Getaway/SCOPE t-shirts and an opportunity to win a free weekend for two. All proceeds from the raffle went back to SCOPE. They are proud to announce that through their efforts many more children will have the opportunity to experience camp in 2020. Because of their continued work to support this amazing cause, the SCOPE Board of Directors chose to honor Club Getaway as their Philanthropic Camp of the Year. Schreiber and the entire team at Club Getaway are humbled and honored to play an important role in giving back to this fantastic non profit organization.
The upcoming New York SCOPE Benefit Dinner will bring together over 450 guests who are passionate about sharing the gift of summer camp on Thursday, April 2nd from 6:30pm-10:30pm at Guastavino’s (409 E 59th Street). The evening celebrates SCOPE and leaders in the community and camper speakers share the impact camp has made on their lives through SCOPE's support.
This prestigious annual recognition that Club Getaway will receive is given to one summer camp in celebration of their generous commitment to SCOPE. The SCOPE Board of Directors nominates and votes on a camp whose contributions to SCOPE throughout the year are influential beyond the borders of the summer months. The camp’s efforts and overall dedication to sharing the mission of SCOPE with their camp communities are exemplified through Philanthropy, Engagement Initiatives, Social Action, Leadership Programs, Advocacy, Volunteerism, and Creating a Culture of Giving. The SCOPE Philanthropic Camp of the Year Award demonstrates meaningful progress toward fundraising and community involvement in support of SCOPE.
