New York Tech and H2M Unveil New Engineering Labs

H2M architects + engineers (H2M) and New York Institute of Technology (New York Tech) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the university’s New York City campus, in the Edward Guiliano Global Center (1855 Broadway) to celebrate the newly renovated College of Engineering and Computing Sciences labs.

H2M’s renovations included demolition, abatement, and fireproofing of the existing structural systems. The newly renovated space includes two state-of-the-art electrical and electronics-focused classrooms and laser, biochemistry, and technology labs. A glass-walled office complements the open concept floor plan. H2M also renovated the adjoining support spaces including bathrooms and corridors. The completed space is energy efficient and promotes collaborative learning.

H2M currently employs 76 New York Tech graduates, including the Chief Executive Officer Rich Humann, P.E.; Chief Operating Officer Joe Mottola, AIA; Discipline Director for Education and Learning Guy Page, RA, CSI; Director of the Education Market Saverio Belfiore, AIA; and New York City Regional Office Studio Director Maria Di Natale, AIA, NCARB, LEED GA, NYSCEO.

Mike Lantier, P.E., LEED AP, Deputy Director of the Education Market, also sits on the Executive Advisory Board of New York Tech’s College of Electrical and Computing Sciences.
