NYC Ferry Service Suspended Due To Heavy Ice Conditions
NYC Ferry has not disclosed when service will resume but said it depends on future weather conditions.
NEW YORK CITY — Due to the freezing temperatures and thick ice in city waterways, all New York City ferry service have been suspended on Tuesday.
NYC Ferry suspended all service starting at 2 p.m. due to ice conditions in the East River and the Hudson River.
“Operating in heavy ice conditions requires slow speeds and little to no notice regarding landing service suspension,” NYC Ferry wrote on in a social media post. “NYC Ferry crew will continue to monitor evolving waterway conditions and prepare the fleet to ensure service can resume once conditions improve.”
