NEW YORK CITY — Spring's arrival in New York City will usher in season-appropriate wet weather and warm temperatures for the remainder of this week, forecasters predict.
Showers are expected for most of Wednesday — where the chance of precipitation is 80 percent during the evening — and off-and-on again Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain likely will continue Friday morning, but the forecast has a sunny side.

But before New Yorkers scramble to the beach, the weekend likely won't be quite so idyllic. The forecast predicts 60 degree temperatures on Saturday, followed by a chance of showers on Sunday.

Showers likely, mainly after 3pm. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 53. East wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Showers, mainly before 2am, then a slight chance of drizzle or light rain after 2am. Patchy fog after 11pm. Steady temperature around 52. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Areas of fog before 8am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 67. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
