NEW YORK — Thursday drizzles will kick off days of heavy rain that could flood the city at the start of the weekend.

Light rain will coat the city Thursday, making for a gray and gloomy day, the National Weather Service says. Rain will fall mostly between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with temperatures hitting a high of 63.

The day of drizzles is just a hint of what's to come, forecasters predict.
