NYC Weather: Flurries, Wintry Mix Before Temps Rise This Week

Bundle up — more cold, wet, wintry weather is in store for New York City before the chill breaks Thursday with 65-degree highs.

NEW YORK CITY — New York City is about to get hit by weather whiplash. Frigid temperatures, flurries and sleet are in the city’s forecast this week until Thursday, when highs will rise to 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The end of wintry weather won’t necessarily mean sunny skies, however — clouds, showers and a potential thunderstorm likely will dampen the return of spring-like conditions, the forecast states.

Thursday's chance of precipitation is 60 percent, according to the weather service.
