NYC Weather Forecast: Sunny Weekend Ahead
Remember that hot yellow thing that used to be in the sky? We may see it again tomorrow.
NEW YORK CITY — The clouds are going to break, the steamy mist will rise and New Yorkers will get a rare glimpse of a cosmic phenomenon forecasters like to call sunshine.
You remember sunshine, right?
National Weather Service forecasters predict that the sun will finally shine down on New York City — after a week of storms, clouds and fog — on Saturday and Sunday as temperatures hit the low 80s.

Evenings will remain clear with temperatures dropping to about 63 degrees Saturday and Sunday night, according to forecasts.
Unfortunately, while the nice weather will last through Monday afternoon a new slew of showers is expect to hit the city on Monday and continue through the week.

And before we see the light, we'll see a dark and stormy Friday with rain, patchy fog and wind gusts as high as 30 mph.
Here's what the National Weather Service predicts:
Friday
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 a.m., then a chance of showers between 10 a.m. and noon. Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Friday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 63. Northwest wind 11 to 17 mph.
Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 83. Northwest wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 63. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph.
Sunday
Sunny, with a high near 82. West wind around 8 mph.
