NYC Weather Forecast: Thunderstorms May Flood Bridges And Highways
After a day of some flash-flooding in NYC, more thunderstorms are still in the forecast for Friday and Saturday.

NEW YORK, NY — Grab your galoshes and an umbrella before you head out the door — forecasters are warning that heavy rain, thunderstorms, and flooding are going to make the Friday morning commute more gross than usual.
The National Weather Service issued a flash-flood advisory for Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., warning that midtown Manhattan, the Lower East Side, the RFK Bridge and both New York airports could be impacted.

"Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots," forecasters warned.
The National Weather Service also says conditions will be stay warm and humid through Saturday, with predictions of showers and thunderstorms until mid-afternoon.

Here's how Friday and the weekend are shaping up weather-wise, according to the National Weather Service.
Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. South wind 7 to 14 mph.
Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. South wind 8 to 10 mph.
Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 85. South wind 10 to 14 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66. Northwest wind 8 to 13 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. West wind 7 to 9 mph.
Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers after 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68.
