NYC Weather: Frost Forecast For Weekend Before Rain Hits

NEW YORK CITY — A frosty Saturday morning will usher in the weekend for New York City as more foul weather is expected ahead of Thanksgiving.

The city is under a frost advisory Saturday from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory is coupled with a hazardous weather outlook.

"Temperatures as low as 34 will result in frost formation," the advisory states.

Frigid temperatures Saturday could only be a prelude to much messier weather.

Some forecasters had predicted snow hitting the city on Tuesday next week, but those predictions appear in flux. The National Weather Service now predicts an 80 percent chance of rain Sunday evening.

"New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible," the forecast states.
