NYC Weather: Severe Storms Threaten Sweltering City
A hazardous weather outlook for Wednesday warns of more extreme heat and storms starting in the afternoon.

NEW YORK, NY — Another day of sweltering heat and storms is in the forecast for Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has put out a heat advisory for the second time this week for all five boroughs. The heat index, which accounts for humidity, could make it feel as hot as 95 degrees, forecasters warned. It will last until 8 p.m. on Thursday.
The heat wave could also bring in severe thunderstorms later in the day. The National Weather Service put out a hazardous weather outlook for most areas in Connecticut and Westchester surrounding New York City and warned that storms could hit the city as well.
