NYC Weather: Rain Will Wash Away Massive Snowfall
A 90 percent chance of rain — which could reach a half inch — is forecast for Thursday and Friday.
NEW YORK CITY — Better enjoy the snow while it lasts, New Yorkers — late week rain is poised to wash it all away.
A 90 percent chance of rain is in New York City's forecast for late Thursday and into Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
"New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible," the forecast for Thursday night states.

The expected rain will come on the heels of a massive snowstorm that deposited up to 13 inches of snow on the city.
The nor'easter largely kept New Yorkers indoors during the weekend, and the city largely weathered the storm.

Relatively higher temperatures of 45 degrees are expected closer to the weekend as well, according to the forecast. Those will drop Friday night to a low of 21, when freezing rain and sleet are expected.
