NYC Weather: Rainy Christmas Eve, Christmas In Forecast

NEW YORK CITY — Dreaming of a white Christmas, New Yorkers? Fuhgeddaboudit — rain is in the holiday forecast.

A wet late Christmas Eve and Christmas Day is likely, according to the National Weather Service.

A slight chance of snow is possible Thursday night starting at 10 p.m., but will mix with rain Friday after 4 a.m., the forecast states. Friday will then be sunny and dry until late into Christmas Eve at 1 a.m.

"Chance of precipitation is 60%," the forecast states. "New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible."

Christmas Day — Saturday — carries a 40 percent chance of rain, the forecast states.
