NYC Weather: Snow Could Blow Into City Sunday

NEW YORK CITY — New Yorkers better get ready for snow to either brighten up or ruin their Sunday, depending on how they feel about the white stuff.

The first snow this season could fall Sunday before giving way to rain, according to the National Weather Service.

The chance for rain or snow is "slight" — 20 percent — but enough for New Yorkers to prepare for precipitation throughout the day.

"A slight chance of snow showers before 11am, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers between 11am and noon, then a slight chance of rain showers after noon," the forecast states.

Forecasters previously warned of snow before Thanksgiving, but that didn't come to pass.
