NYC Weather: Snow Predicted For MLK Day, Weekend
The upcoming three-day weekend could be a snowy one for New Yorkers.

NEW YORK CITY — A fresh batch of snow could blanket New York City on Martin Luther King Day.
The three-day holiday weekend’s forecast shows strong chances of snow on Sunday and Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
The overnight hours from Sunday into Martin Luther King Day after 1 a.m. carries the strongest chance.

“Chance of precipitation is 60%,” the forecast states.

The city’s first accumulating snow this season fell Jan. 7, with some neighborhoods seeing up to 8 inches.
Then this week, temperatures plunged with wind chills at or below 0 froze New Yorkers.
Wednesday is expected to provide a relative respite from the extreme cold.
“Temperatures rebound today, with highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s thanks to increasing southerly flow,” the National Weather Service’s New York office tweeted. “A good deal of sunshine is expected, with dry conditions.”
