NYC Weather: Snow Returns To Forecast After 70-Degree Days

NEW YORK CITY — Pack up those shorts and whip out the snow boots, New Yorkers.

Snow is returning to the forecast Wednesday just days after 70-degree, near record-breaking springlike weather, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday's early morning hours carry a "slight chance" of snow, alongside rain, forecasters said. But that'll change after 8 a.m.

"Chance of precipitation is 90%," the forecast states. "New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible."

The forecast isn't a snow-only affair — rain is also expected, along with highs near 40 degrees.

But the expected wet, wintry weather is a stark contrast to the 70-degree weather Monday that nearly broke record highs.
