NEW YORK — Steady rain and winds as strong as 40 MPH will usher in the weekend, forecasters say.
There's a chance of rain nearly all day Friday, according to the National Weather Service, with rain most likely before 10 a.m. this morning. Winds could get as high as 32 MPH during the day and strengthen to as much as 40 MPH Friday night.
The gloom will start to disappear this weekend, with forecasters predicting high temperatures in the 50s and at least some sun.

Partly sunny, with a high near 50. Wind chill values between 20 and 30 early. Breezy, with a northwest wind 21 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.
