NYC Weekend Subway Service Changes For Oct. 7-8

Heads up: The 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, D, E, F, G, J, M, N and R trains won't be running normally this weekend.

NEW YORK, NY — Here's how the Metropolitan Transportation Authority will screw up your plans this weekend — from late Friday night, Oct. 6, through early Monday morning, Oct. 9 — in the name of "upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.

Getting around on the subway this weekend is going to be tough, as a whopping 15(!) train lines will be running with modified service. (For more NYC local news, subscribe to Patch to get a daily newsletter and breaking news alerts.)
