NYC Weekend Weather: Get Ready For Sunny Skies, Pleasant Highs

NEW YORK CITY — A gorgeous, sun-filled weekend is on tap for New York City after days of rain.

Blue skies and pleasant highs are expected Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

And an extra bonus following a week of spotty wet weather: no rain.

"Sunny, with a high near 77," the forecast for Saturday states.

But don't pack up that umbrella yet.

Rain isn't out of the picture Friday, according to the forecast. Morning showers and fog could linger during the morning, before skies become sunny in the afternoon, a National Weather Service weather story states.

"A weak lingering low pressure trough may still manage to touch off a few afternoon showers inland," it states for Friday. "Afternoon temperatures will be a few degrees above average."
