The Osborne Association raised more than $1.1 million at its annual benefit on October 27, bringing together more than 350 supporters, advocates, and leaders at Tribeca 360 in Manhattan to celebrate the organization's work to transform the criminal legal system and create pathways to opportunity for individuals and families impacted by incarceration.

The evening honored five distinguished leaders whose work reflects a commitment to justice, opportunity, and social change: Jermaine Archer, Executive Director, Rehabilitation Through the Arts; Will Blodgett, Founder and CEO, Tredway; RuthAnne Visnauskas, Commissioner and CEO, New York State Homes & Community Renewal; Chris Hayes, Anchor, MS NOW; and, Kate Shaw, Professor, University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, and co-host of the Strict Scrutiny podcast.

Addressing the audience, Osborne CEO Jonathan Monsalve emphasized the importance of compassion, second chances, and meaningful action to build a more just society.

“No one should be judged by their darkest hour, and mercy must always win out over vengeance,” Monsalve said. “The call to justice demands action: keeping more people out of jail and prison. Creating more pathways to meaningful work and more housing. And supporting more people inside to repair harm, and more families and children serving time alongside them.”

Funds raised at the benefit will support Osborne's work with individuals and families impacted by the criminal legal system, including programs focused on housing, employment, family connections, and successful reentry.
