Partnership for the Homeless Distributes Thousands of Free Masks
Partnership Distributes Thousands of Masks to New Yorkers at Metropolitan Community Church; Donation in partnership with Ledbury

(New York, NY)—On Thursday, June 18, The Partnership for the Homeless and Ledbury donated thousands of hand-made masks to Metropolitan Community Church, a welcoming spiritual home for the LGBTQIA+ community and a leader in ministries supporting the poor, hungry and homeless in midtown Manhattan.
"The Partnership welcomes our cross-sector collaboration with General Atlantic and Ledbury to help vulnerable New Yorkers stay safe. We also appreciate the partnership of Metropolitan Community Church to ensure masks are provided to those in need, including LGBTQIA+ youth," said Áine Duggan, President and CEO of The Partnership for the Homeless.
“We thank The Partnership for the Homeless and Ledbury for this donation. The masks will go a long way in keeping our staff and clients safe as they seek sustenance at the Sylvia Rivera Food Pantry, where we distribute lunch and grocery service to those in need in the LGBTQIA+ community daily. The masks will also be distributed to the many LGBTQ seniors and immuno-compromised individuals that receive daily grocery deliveries and the LGBTQI youth that call Sylvia's Place home,” said Mike Easterling, Pastoral Operations Manager at MCCNY Charities, Inc.

Ledbury, founded by Paul Trible and Paul Watson, focuses on providing premium men’s apparel. But amid the pandemic, at the initial request of a local healthcare system, Ledbury shifted from producing shirts to producing masks - with each purchase being matched with a mask donation to vulnerable populations in need.
A Partnership Board Member connected the nonprofit with Ledbury, which has a New York City office and offered to donate the masks. Ledbury also is providing other donations to CF Richmond in Virginia, where Ledbury is based.
