  1. A new pedestrian plaza is coming to Broadway, with a car-free stretch from 25th to 27th street. Work is expected to be done by the end of the summer. It's part of a larger 'Broadway Vision' redesign of the entire thoroughfare from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to Union Square. (AMNY)
  2. A former NYPD cop who shook at tambourine and refused to leave the U.S. Capitol in the Jan. 6 riots has been convicted of two felonies. She is set for sentencing in July. (New York City Patch)
  3. A Madison Square Garden executive has said he filed a lawsuit against the State Liquor Authority for looking to revoke its liquor license over the entertainment venue's use of facial recognition technology to "cherry-pick" who can and cannot attend events. The liquor license revocation would also affect affiliates The Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre. (AMNY)
  4. Cops are leaving the NYPD at a "record-breaking pace," the New York Post reports, with data indicating that 239 officers left the force in the first two months of 2023, compared to 176 last year and just 110 the year before. (New York Post)
  5. March is women's history month, and here's just some of the sites around the city to visit. For starters, there's the Women's Rights Monument in Central Park, Shirley Chisholm State Park in East New York, and an Eleanor Roosevelt monument in Riverside Park. (New York Daily News)
