Perfect NEW book for beach reading...I Remember Summertime

I Remember Summertime is a book I could NOT put down. It's set in the 1970s and is written from the point of view of a teenager - wow!

I can't believe it's about to be Memorial day!

One of of my favorite things to do, of course, is to head to the beach (or the shore LOL) and read all day. I LOVE the summer!!

Last week, a publisher I know (Rebel Books Press), sent me an advance copy of a new book, "I Remember Summertime." Wow.

It took me right back to my 1970s days, where I was a teenager just like the main character in this hard-to-put-down novel. I loved it! My only problem is I read it before I got to the beach, but believe me, I will read it again. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

The author is Maryanne Micchelli Conte, who lives in NJ, and this is her first book. She really captured the vibes of the '70s, from the clothes to the music to the characters who were into their Drama Club, putting on The Wizard of Oz, and the girls and boys who were at that age where they faced being a kid and being someone much older.

I especially loved the coming-of-age innocence in the book, and how these kids, like anyone growing up then (and now), had to deal with tough decisions about romance, friendship, and serious challenges.

"I Remember Summertime" is available wherever books are sold, but online is fastest. Here is a handy link for you - Amazon ships fast. Click here for Amazon.

This book is a must-have for the the summer...and it got me to remembering my own beachy times.
