NEW YORK CITY — A person was struck by a train at a Bronx subway station on early Monday morning, prompting delays, according to the MTA.

Trains on the 6 line were partially suspended as emergency crews responded to a person struck at the Longwood Avenue station, near Southern Boulevard in the Longwood neighborhood of the Bronx.

As of roughly 5 a.m., trains have resumed making scheduled stops in both directions, but delays are still expected, the MTA posted.

Police had no immediate word on the person's condition or what led to the collision.

Broad delays were also reported on southbound 4 and 6 trains as crews worked to remove an active train car from service for cleaning, MTA officials said.
