NEW YORK CITY — Pete Davidson is heading as far as one can feasibly get from his native Staten Island.

Yes, the "Saturday Night Live" funnyman is going to outer space.

Davidson will be among six passengers on the next launch of Jeff Bezos' space travel venture Blue Origin, the company announced Monday.

The launch is scheduled for March 23, and Davidson will be the third celebrity on a Blue Origin flight, following "Star Trek" actor William Shatner and “Good Morning America” co-host Michael Strahan.

Bezos, himself a celebrity of sorts, flew on the company's first passenger flight last July.

The flight is only the latest seemingly improbable coup for Davidson, a comedian who once compared his looks to that of "Dobby the house elf" from Harry Potter and yet has dated a spate of A-list celebrities up to his current flame, Kim Kardashian.

Davidson is apparently not content with being just a wildly successful comedian, writer and star of the semi-autobiographical film “The King of Staten Island,” owner of a decommissioned Staten Island ferry and Kim Kardashian's boyfriend.

His flight will take him to literal new heights — and put some distance between him and Kardashian's ex-husband Kayne West, who has been publicly harassing the new couple.

Other passengers on next week's flight are CEO and investor Marty Allen; Sharon and Marc Hagle; teacher and entrepreneur Jim Kitchen; and George Nield, a former NASA manager who has worked to promote commercial spaceflight.
