BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A Queens-based pizza chain confirmed its plan to open a Bayside outpost, thus bringing a neighborhood pizza feud to an end.

Charlie Troia, who co-owns Rosa's Pizza with his brother, told Patch Tuesday that the pizzeria is opening an outpost at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center in "several months."

"Everything is proceeding very well, it's going to be a big store," he said.

The pizzeria will move into two adjacent, now-empty storefronts at the mall — one of which used to be Jack's Pizza and Pasta, a longtime tenant that shuttered at the beginning of this year amid a rental dispute with shopping center owner Cord Meyer Development Company.

Cocktail Lounge Disguised As Shoe Shop Opens On UES: See Inside

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The locksmith and shoe repair storefront on Second Avenue looks as if it's been there for decades. Indeed, above the racks of keys and piles of boots in the window is a faded bit of signage: "Keys & Heels Locksmith Shoe Repair," it reads — "Since 1971."

But, in fact, Keys & Heels has only been there a few weeks.

And it is no shoe repair shop: the unassuming facade conceals a cozy cocktail lounge, one of the latest speakeasy-style bars to open in the city in recent years.

Dog Ice Cream Truck Coming To Park Slope

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN —A doggie ice cream truck wagged up to Park Slope's ethical pet product boutique.

The Pupper Cup parked Saturday in front of Gone to the Dogs, an ethical boutique for dogs.

While anyone could eat its sweet treat, they're truly for the dogs. They served "ice cream" made from a base of coconut and guar gum in six different canine-friendly flavors: bacon (the most popular), peanut butter, salmon, blueberry, carrot, and pumpkin.

Worldwide German Kebab Chain Opening Astoria Eatery

ASTORIA, QUEENS — Steinway Street already has its share of kebab spots, but an upcoming restaurant will add a decidedly different kind of sandwich to the mix: German-style doner kebab.

The matter-of-factly-named restaurant chain German Doner Kebab is opening an eatery at 31-75 Steinway St.

The chain has existing locations in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Canada, Ireland, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates — plus a lone U.S. location in New Jersey. But it appears in the midst of a rapid American expansion, with five upcoming locations listed on its website from Texas to Brooklyn.

Celebrating A Decade Of Organic Pasta At Park Slope Italian Spot

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Ten years ago, Andres Rodas and Andres Whang set out to open an Italian restaurant in Park Slope with a twist.

Having both grown up eating homemade bolognese in Argentina, Rodas and Whang imagined a piccola cucina (little kitchen in Italian) where they could serve up so-called "new Italian" fare — traditional dishes made with organic and locally-sourced ingredients.

That vision came to life in 2012 at Piccoli Trattoria, a cozy neighborhood restaurant on the corner of Sixth Avenue and 14 Street that's now celebrating its 10th anniversary with an aptly eclectic prix fixe menu.
