Those are just a few reactions to an announcement that an F-18 fighter jet will buzz over the Verrazzano Bridge on Friday — the 19th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

And it appears the U.S. Navy heard the uproar.

"As per the US Navy, today's F-18 jet flyover on the Hudson River has been cancelled," tweeted NYC Emergency Management.

Another tweet by NYC Emergency Management announcing the planned 3:30 p.m. flyover fueled the outrage. People responded with disbelief that it could unfold on a somber day marking when thousands were killed by jets flying low over New York City.

A spokesperson for Mayor Bill de Blasio said the mayor didn't know about the flyover.

“The mayor wasn’t aware of the flyover, and frankly it’s inappropriate," the spokesperson said. "He looks forward to thanking our heroes and honoring those we’ve lost at the ceremony this morning."

Congressman Max Rose, who represents Staten Island, offered a short, harsh critique.

"Are you out of your mind?" he tweeted. "Cancel this immediately."

Other New Yorkers — or maybe just New Yorkers at heart — offered often-unprintable responses to the plan.

The responses after the cancellation mostly expressed relief, albeit with an acid tinge.
