Cops Fatally Shoot Woman After Deadly Stabbing Spree In Times Square

NEW YORK CITY — A woman was fatally shot by police after she allegedly stabbed two people near Times Square on Monday.

The police-involved shooting happened near West 43rd Street and Seventh Avenue just before 4:30 p.m., police said.

According to police, Pamela Cisneros, 49, stabbed a 68-year-old man at West 41 Street.

She then fatally stabbed a 32-year-old woman in the abdomen at 42nd Street.

Officers at the scene confronted Cisneros, who repeatedly ignored requests from police to drop the knife, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.

The suspect then lunged at the officers who then discharged their weapons. Two knives were recovered at the scene.

Cisneros was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital.

The identity of the 32-year-old woman has been released yet.

An investigation remains ongoing.
