Poster House Presents Poster Kids: Colors, Shapes, & Lines

Poster House, the first museum in the United States dedicated to the global history of posters, will host a “Poster Kids” event on July 23, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Poster House, 119 West 23rd Street in Manhattan. Poster House will be offering free admission for guests to attend this family-friendly programming and explore the museum’s latest exhibitions.

Poster Kids will explore colors, shapes, and lines in the posters of the museum’s current exhibition, Made in Japan: 20th-Century Poster Art. After an interactive, walk-through exhibit tour, participants will create mixed-media artworks inspired by their tour experience. This program is designed for children ages 5–11 and their adult chaperones to collaborate. Older siblings are welcome to attend as well. All attendees must have an adult present throughout the entire program.

Free tickets can be reserved online in advance of July 23rd. During normal hours, tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students, veterans, and seniors. Poster House offers free museum admission through the New York City’s public library Culture Pass system.
