PRAYERS Brings Two-Night Chologoth Halloween Takeover to Brooklyn

PRAYERS will bring its dark, genre-blurring live show to Brooklyn for two nights at The Sultan Room on October 30 and 31 as part of the group’s 2026 No Tengo Calma Tour.

Led by Leafar Seyer, PRAYERS pioneered the self-described Chologoth sound, blending goth, darkwave, electronic music, punk, industrial and Chicano influences into a style that has built a devoted following across alternative and underground music scenes. The Brooklyn dates will feature support from DEVORA and will double as live performances and Halloween parties, giving both nights a more immersive, late-night feel than a standard tour stop.

The shows arrive on the heels of PRAYERS’ latest single and music video, “No Tengo Calma,” which marks the beginning of a new Spanish-language chapter for the group. The track leads into the upcoming EP ORACIONES and is the first installment in a two-part visual storyline inspired by Romeo and Juliet and reimagined through PRAYERS’ distinctive Chologoth aesthetic.

For Leafar Seyer, the new material continues a career built around resisting easy classification. Emerging from San Diego’s Sherman Heights, he developed PRAYERS around themes of identity, spirituality, street culture, love, survival and defiance, eventually bringing Chologoth from the underground to major stages including Coachella.

The October 30 and 31 shows at The Sultan Room are expected to lean heavily into the group’s theatrical and visually driven live presentation, with Halloween providing a natural backdrop for PRAYERS’ darker aesthetic.

PRAYERS performs at The Sultan Room, 234 Starr St. in Brooklyn, on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31. Doors open at 7 p.m. both nights.
