NYC Schools Will Reopen Friday, Mayor Says
You have to be the one to break the news to the kids.
NEW YORK CITY — Prepare to destroy your kids’ dreams of an extra-long weekend — public schools will reopen Friday after the "bomb cyclone" snow day, city officials announced. All New York City district schools will reopen Friday, but yellow bus field trips will be cancelled, the mayor’s office said in a statement.
“At this moment, we expect school to be open tomorrow,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said Thursday morning in an address from the Office of Emergency Management.
