Q Train Shooting Suspect Identified Amid Manhunt: NYPD
Andrew Abdullah is wanted in the unprovoked shooting of a straphanger on his way to Sunday brunch, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A suspect in the unprovoked Sunday shooting of a straphanger on a Q train has been identified, police said.
Andrew Abdullah, 25, is wanted in connection to the death of Daniel Enriquez, 48, who was shot in the chest by a complete stranger as a subway train crossed the Manhattan Bridge, NYPD officials announced on Twitter.
Police posted a clear photograph of Abdullah — in contrast to the pixelated surveillance photos they previously released of a suspect — with a call for help to find him.

Abdullah's name had circulated for hours as a potential suspect before the NYPD's tweet confirming it.
He's accused of being the man who witnesses saw pacing on a Q train nearing the Canal and Centre street subway station, before pulling a gun and shooting Enriquez without provocation.
Enriquez, who lived in Park Slope and worked for Goldman Sachs, was headed to brunch in Manhattan. He decided to use the subway after Uber's surge pricing became too expensive, his partner said.
"Daniel was on his way to meet his brother for brunch and sadly didn’t make it," tweeted James Essig, the NYPD's chief of detectives.
"We need YOUR help to find Andrew Abdullah..."
