REPORT: Brooklyn’s Savannah Guthrie Seeks Answers As Her Mother's Search Enters Second Week
Authorities continue investigating multiple locations in Tucson as family pleads for the safe return of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie.

NEW YORK, NY — Investigators were seen examining a septic tank near Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona, home Sunday, using flashlights and a long stick to peer inside and repeatedly probing the tank, video from CNN affiliate KNXV showed.
One investigator wore a sheriff’s vest and held a notebook.
After completing the examination, they replaced the tank’s two green lids.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed detectives and agents “continue to conduct follow-up at multiple locations” but declined to release additional details.
Guthrie’s family posted a third video plea Saturday, urging for her safe return.

“We beg you now to return our mother to us — so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace,” Savannah Guthrie said. “We will pay.”
Authorities believe the abductor or abductors are demanding $6 million by 5 p.m. Monday, CNN affiliate KGUN reported.
The note reportedly threatened Guthrie’s life if the ransom was not met.
Law enforcement remained at Nancy Guthrie’s home Monday morning, after visiting her property and that of her daughter Annie over the weekend. Officials have not named any suspects and continue to guard the 84-year-old’s home at her family’s request.
Former Today show co-host Hoda Kotb filled in for Savannah Guthrie Monday, saying the anchor and her family were “our top priority.”
The FBI Phoenix office said Director Kash Patel is receiving updates on the case while traveling to Tucson for unrelated matters.
Investigators are following multiple leads as the search enters its second week, with the family and authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
