RuPaul’s Drag Race Queens Get Freaky at this Weekend's ZombieLand

RuPaul’s Drag Race winners Aquaria and Yvie Oddly will be among the celebrity guests at this Saturday's ZombieLand!, an LGBTQ event taking place at Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park in East Rutherford.

“We have been working for two years on this insane plan to takeover America’s largest indoor theme park for Halloween,” explains producer Jake Resnicow. “ZombieLand! will be the first-ever takeover of Universe Theme Park. The 8-acre park will be exclusively ours for the entire night!”

Attendees will have access to over thirty rides and attractions including the Sky Railway and the world’s tallest and longest free-spinning coaster.

Grammy-nominated House music artist Dennis Ferrer will provide music at ZombieLand!. “I can’t wait to bring the beats to the children," he says. "There is nothing better than whisking clubgoers on a magical, musical journey, especially when it is on a dancefloor surrounded by thrill rides!”

Opening for Ferrer will be LAS BIBAS FROM VIZCAYA, a drag queen DJ and music producer who is flying in from Brazil for the event. “This is going to go down as the wildest Halloween dance party ever,” she says. “Jake (Resnicow) will no doubt bring out all the tricks and treats for Halloween!”

Mr. Resnicow has become one of the world's leading producers of LGBTQ nightlife events. His Pride Festivals in New York, Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles are renowned for combining elaborate theatrical sets and A-list talent. Bloomberg News recently heralded him as “the future”.

ZombieLand! will take place 15 minutes outside of New York City. Buses to The Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park at 1 American Dream Way in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will depart hourly from the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Proof of vaccination is required. The NYC Covid Safe app, Excelsior Pass, or photo of vaccine card will be accepted.
