Dad Of Toddler In Doctored Trump Video Slams Its 'Hate Agenda'

"HE CAN NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS!!!," the Washington Heights dad said on Facebook after Trump shared a fake version of the viral video.

NEW YORK, NY — The father of a toddler featured in a doctored video Tweeted by President Donald Trump is blasting the president for using his son to further his "hate agenda."

Michael Cisneros — a Washington Heights dad who posted the original viral video last year — took to Facebook on Thursday to speak out about the president using a manipulated version of the footage of his son and a friend running up and hugging on the sidewalk.

Trump's altered version uses a section of the video where the white child is running after the black toddler set to ominous music with a fake CNN chyron reading "terrified todler [sic] runs from racist baby" and "racist baby probably a Trump voter."

It is followed by the original video of the boys hugging before the message "America is not the problem. Fake news is" shows up on a black screen.

Cisneros shared the President's Tweet, which has been flagged by Twitter as "manipulated," on Facebook with a call for people speak out about the fake version.

"PLEASE!!! SHARE THIS!!!! EVERYONE!!!! HE WILL NOT TURN THIS LOVING, BEAUTIFUL VIDEO TO FURTHER HIS HATE AGENDA," he wrote.

The father later says in response to comments that he is considering contacting an attorney about the post. Patch has reached out to Cisneros for comment.

CNN also spoke out about the Tweet, replying on Twitter with the real story they ran on the video of the two children, which has the headline "These two toddlers are showing us what real-life besties look like."

"We’ll continue working with facts rather than tweeting fake videos that exploit innocent children," they wrote to Trump. "We invite you to do the same."

The "manipulated media" note added by Twitter to Trump's Tweet includes a link to articles confirming the video is fake.

It is the latest post from Trump to be flagged by the social media platform.

An edited video of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden the president posted was also labeled manipulated media in March. In May, Twitter restricted a tweet from the president which it said at the time violated its rules on "glorifying violence."

The president has lashed out at the fact checks and his administration has proposed to roll back protections shielding online platforms from lawsuits based on what people post.

Cisneros' post about the video has been shared more than 100 times.

"Thank you to all who have shared, who have reached out and who are as angered as we are that he exploited young boys in this way," he wrote Friday. "We appreciate all your support, sentiments and well wishes. We must all continue show up, stand up, and speak up!!"
