'Salt Bae' Is Hiring At New Midtown Steakhouse
The Turkish chef and viral video star "Salt Bae" is seeking both front and back of house staff members at his new Manhattan restaurant.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe, more commonly referred to as "Salt Bae" after his extravagant seasoning method, is now hiring for his new Midtown Manhattan steakhouse. So if you ever wanted to work for a boss that has inspired countless internet memes, now's your chance.
The Manhattan Nusr-et restaurant is seeking both front- and back-of-house talent in advance of its impending opening, according to a job posting on Craigslist first noticed by Eater New York. The only job qualification specifically listed in the ad is that employees must have a "burning with desire to flare it up."
The steakhouse, which will be located on West 53rd Street between Sixth and Fifth avenues is hiring for the following positions:

- Server;
- Runner;
- Barista;
- Bartender;
- Barback;
- Host;
- Reservations;
- Cashiers;
- Grill Cooks;
- Butchers.
The positions are full time and include benefits, according to the job listing. The listing does not specify when the restaurant is expected to open.
Gökçe became an instant internet sensation when he posted a video of himself — simply titled "Ottoman steak" — to Twitter in January. The video depicts the Turkish chef's signature flamboyant style of butchering, complete with dramatic cuts, flourishes and finally a sprinkling of salt on the meat.
