SantaCon 2020 Canceled Due To Coronavirus Pandemic
The massive annual bar crawl of drunk Santa Clauses won't take place in 2020 as COVID-19 cases continue to rise in New York City.

NEW YORK CITY — The city will not get overrun this year by boozy young adults in Santa Claus costumes as SantaCon NYC has officially been canceled in 2020.
"All the reindeer got the Rona so, the Elves have advised Santa to hold off one the in-person merriment," reads a message on the SantaCon website. "There is no SantaCon NYC this year."
The event typically consists of countless people dressed up as Santa Claus coming into the city and hopping from bar to bar until they more or less can't anymore.

SantaCon also raises money for various charities every year. In 2020, the organization is still raising money to help feed New York frontline workers.
Not all New Yorkers list SantaCon as one of their favorite days of the year due to the slight chaos it brings to Lower Manhattan.
