NEW YORK CITY — A subway passenger was so mad he could spit — and he did — after a father told him to snuff out his joint, police said.

The marijuana-toking man yelled, spat on the father and the father's 4-year-old daughter and threatened the family with a knife during the Sept. 5 incident, authorities said.

A fellow straphanger caught the tense exchange on video being distributed by NYPD officers, who seek the spitter on suspicion of child endangerment.
