Session: Skate SIM Launches Game with Pros and VIP Guests

NACON and creā-ture Studios are proud to launch Session: Skate Sim– a realistic skateboarding game developed for players to skate and film tricks in iconic spots with pros like Daewon Song, Torey Pudwill, Mark Appleyard, Nora Vasconcellos, Manny Santiago, Samarria Brevard, Dane Burman and several others. The night before the game’s official launch, Session threw a party in New York City to launch the game properly.

Hosted by Samarria Brevard, Manny Santiago, Dane Burman and Donovan Strain, the VIP event at Substance Skatepark in Brooklyn, NY last night was attended by the skaters, gamers and the developers of creā-ture Studios and NACON. Pros skated, signed autographs, and showed party-goers tips and tricks on playing Session: Skate Sim.

“This game is a first in its category that allows players to film, add filters and edit clips directly,” says, Daewon Song (pictured in the Session: Skate Sim game below). “It’s rare to see something different like this come out for gamers and I’m glad to be a part of it.”

“I’m excited and honored to be in this unique game alongside my friends who also happen to be skaters and humans I really respect,“ said Samarria Brevard.

"It’s always been a dream of mine to be part of a game, Session made it possible for kids to re-enact tricks we do and create content,” said Manny Santiago.

With the feeling of the golden age of skateboarding in the 90s, this realistic skateboarding game was designed by skaters and includes iconic skateboarding spots and cities including New York, San Francisco and Philadelphia. It allows skaters to put together lines of tricks and save the best moments with the video editor.

Many pros join some well-known skaters in Session: Skate Sim, and the list includes: Daewon Song, Nora Vasconcellos, Torey Pudwill, Samarria Brevard, Manny Santiago, Dane Burman, Louie Barletta, Mark Appleyard, Jahmir Brown, Billy Marks, Ryan Thompson, AntiFerg, Beagle, Ribs Man, Donovan Strain and Annie Guglia. The game also allows extensive customizations, and features many top brands like Zero, Almost, Element, Thank You, adidas, DGK, Jart, FLIP and Welcome.

Now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 and PC, Session invites players to dive into the genuine 1990s skateboarding way of life, when each stretch of pavement and each stairway was a great location for your favourite tricks. The game's ultra-realistic physics bring the sensations of skateboarding to life, and the studio has even integrated ground-breaking gameplay, a first in a skateboarding game: the "True Stance Stick", where each foot is independently managed using the two sticks. With a learning curve that is just as demanding as in real life, players must practice how to control their board and pull off all the different tricks available in the game, from the simplest to the most complicated. The integrated editing tool lets each player immortalise their greatest achievements on video.
