Significant Delays Expected At LaGuardia Airport Through Saturday Morning: FAA

NEW YORK CITY — New Yorkers flying from LaGuardia Airport will have to deal with lengthy delays and disruptions until at least early Saturday morning, the FAA said on Friday.

Departure flights out of the airport are seeing delays of over two hours.

Disruptions are expected to be escalated later into the day Friday. The FAA is predicting that delays could over four hours by 8 p.m. and will hold steady for the rest of the night.

All contiguous departing flights to destinations in the U.S. are also included.

The recent delays come as the airport has reopened after a fatal runway crash that killed two pilots this past weekend.
