Snow, Bitter Cold Will Stick To NYC This Week
Up to 7.6 inches of fluffy snow fell on New York City during Sunday's winter storm. More could be on the way as soon as Tuesday.

NEW YORK CITY — Better get used to bundling up, shoveling snow and navigating slush puddles.
New York City's forecast this week calls for bitter cold, then snow, followed by more cold and finally more snow.
The frigid, snowy weather follows a downright winter wonderland that befell the city on Sunday. Fluffy white snow covered the city, with the Bronx getting the most at 7.6 inches, according to the National Weather Service.

The winter storm brought out revelers and sledders to the city's parks, but New Yorkers looking to recapture the fun this week likely will have to wear extra layers.
Monday's high temperature will only be 29 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast. It'll increase on Tuesday along with the chance of precipitation.

"Snow likely before noon, then rain and snow likely," the weather service's Tuesday forecast states. "Cloudy, with a high near 37. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. East wind 5 to 7 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible."
Snow is likely throughout the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service. Its forecast for the week, as of Monday, is:
Monday
Sunny, with a high near 29. Wind chill values between 10 and 20. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph.
Monday Night
Increasing clouds, with a low around 24. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Tuesday
Snow likely before noon, then rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 37. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. East wind 5 to 7 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Tuesday Night
A 20 percent chance of snow before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 25. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.
Wednesday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 33. Northwest wind 8 to 13 mph.
Wednesday Night
A 30 percent chance of snow after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.
Thursday
A 40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34.
Thursday Night
A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 31.

A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
