Snow, Cold Return To NYC Forecast This Week

NEW YORK CITY — Don't let the city's recent spring-like weather make you pack up your winter hat and gloves.

Snow and cold have returned to New York City's forecast this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Winter's return isn't expected to be severe, at least by early predictions. But it'll still bring a chance of snow several days this week and some chilly weather.

The National Weather Service forecast states starting Tuesday that wind chills will plunge to 20 and 30 degrees. There's a chance of snow that day before 10 p.m., before shifting to rain and snow overnight.

Rain will continue on and off through the week before snow's potential return Friday, forecasters predict.

"A chance of rain and snow before 10am, then a chance of snow between 10am and noon," Friday's forecast states.
