The March 17 holiday falls on a Tuesday this year, and many big events will be held the weekend of March 14-15. Originally a modest, religious feast day honoring the patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day today is a vibrant, boisterous holiday observed by millions of people regardless of their heritage.

Stone Street St. Patrick's Day Block Party: Begins at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Join New Yorkers in a St. Patrick's Day themed bar crawl on Stone Street.

Brooklyn St. Patrick's Parade: Begins at 1 p.m. in Park Slope (Prospect Park West).
St. Patrick's Day Run: Begins at noon at Tavern On The Green in Central Park. Join New Yorkers for a 5k lap of the perimeter of Central Park before returning to the restaurant.

The 265th New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will take place along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan beginning at 11 a.m.

Queens County St. Patrick's Day Parade: The annual parade will kick off in Belle Harbor at 1 p.m. The parade will start at Newport Avenue and Beach 129th Street.
Sunday, March 15
Throggs Neck St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Begins at noon on East Tremont and Lafayette Avenues.
