Nearly 40 veterans were honored on Veteran's Day at Triboro Center as leadership gave out medals and certificates to each veteran following a beautiful special lunch.

Sponsored by GeriCare Pharmaceuticals, a maker of over-the-counter pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements directed mostly towards today's geriatric populations, the company is located in Brooklyn, New York and Lakewood, New Jersey. GeriCare donated the medals and a massive American Flag cake. The November 11 event also included opening remarks by guest speaker Private First Class Guillermo Torres of the U.S. Army who served towards the end of the Vietnam War.

Following the distribution of the certificates and medals by Goldman and Torres, Triboro Center and GeriCare donated a plaque to the facility’s veterans at the conclusion of the ceremony.

"This ceremony couldn't have been crafted any better," said Goldman. "Thank you to GeriCare for being part of this special day. Also thank you to Officer Torres, to Rose my Recreation Director and bless all of our veterans."
