Tropical Storm Henri Could Hit NYC This Weekend
A storm brewing in the Atlantic is expected to move up the coast and could bring "tropical storm conditions" to New York City on Sunday.

NEW YORK CITY — Tropical Storm Henri is moving toward New York City, forecasters warn.
The Atlantic storm will move from open water toward the Northeast coast this weekend, according to the National Hurricane Center.
By Sunday, it could bring a mix of storm surge, wind and wind to the city.

"Tropical storm conditions possible," the National Weather Service forecast for Sunday states.
The storm's center is expected to pass to the east of New York City, but could hit eastern Long Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and other New England states, according to a National Hurricane Center projection.

Tropical storm force winds, if they hit, likely will arrive Sunday at 8 a.m., the hurricane center warned.
