Tropical Storm Henri Soaks NYC: See The Rainfall Totals
Parts of New York City saw close to 8 inches of rain fall during the storm, according to the National Weather Service.

NEW YORK CITY — It's official: Tropical Storm Henri absolutely drenched New York City.
Whether giving the city its wettest hour on record, or raining out the Central Park mega-concert, the storm made for extraordinarily wet weekend for New Yorkers.
Nearly 8 inches of rain fell in Prospect Park over a 48-hour period, according to National Weather Service rainfall totals.

And heavy rain remains in the city's forecast for Monday — the National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch until Tuesday at 2 a.m.
"A widespread 2 to 4 inches of additional rainfall is possible this afternoon," the watch stated Monday morning. "Localized higher amounts will be possible through tonight."

Monday's forecast calls for an 80 percent chance of precipitation. Showers and a thunderstorm are could hit before 10 a.m., followed by a chance of showers until 2 p.m.
Rainfall in the form of showers or a thunderstorm is "likely" after 2 p.m., the forecast states.
Thankfully for sodden New Yorkers, rain leaves the forecast starting Tuesday in lieu of sunny skies until next weekend.
